Above all, embrace simplicity of heart—emptiness of Mind. Anything truly worthwhile appears foolish or impossible to the conditioned eye that takes its conditioning too seriously. All ideas and images beautiful or ugly, pious or corrupt are prisons.
Truth is always simple but the Mind-Ego cannot accept it.
To see it as it is without division and without label is the way of the Truth; here and now.

Never belong to the herd even as you sit and move with them, and love them.

Sākṣi (witness) is not a "state".
It is the experiential awareness that all states are just as much a part of the dream regardless of whatever purpose they may or may not serve in phenomenal reality.
