Know that you don't know. All thought-stories must be doubted and not taken seriously at all times.
What counts is sight which keeps getting clearer when you go and keep going beyond thought-stories.
How to see?
Fully be. see. witness. all things that seem to arise. repeat.

Never belong to the herd even as you sit and move with them, and love them.

Sākṣi (witness) is not a "state".
It is the experiential awareness that all states are just as much a part of the dream regardless of whatever purpose they may or may not serve in phenomenal reality.
